Flying to Spain was a spontaneous idea. When I got a call that Friday, canceling my work plans for the following week, I went online to see where it was cheap to fly to in that time period. By Saturday night I had booked a flight and a place to stay and Monday morning I was on my way to Madrid – thrilled that I would finally get to see this city, that had been on my bucket list for ages. As always, I spent the first day wandering around, taking in the atmosphere of the new place. And, as always, looking up. Let me share with you: The roofs of Madrid.
